How Smiles for Bikers works and the mission behind the ride

The Concept

A 5K Walk on
Two Wheels

Smiles for Bikers is inspired by charity walk/run events — but instead of lacing up running shoes, our participants fire up their motorcycles. Over a 2-month period, bikers ride as many miles as they can, logging each ride on their personal dashboard.

Meanwhile, supporters follow their favorite riders, cheer them on, and donate to sponsor their journey. A live leaderboard tracks who's ridden the most miles and raised the most funds.

All funds raised benefit Access Life America, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports children battling cancer and their families at treatment centers across India.

About Access Life America

Access Life America (ALA) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2014. ALA supports pediatric cancer patients and their families at treatment centers in India, providing a holistic support system so children can focus on healing.

ALA's programs include the Pediatric Caregiver Support Program, the Meal Mate Program, educational sessions, counseling, and safe housing for children undergoing treatment.

What type of motorcycle do I need?
Any street-legal motorcycle is welcome. The spirit of the event is the camaraderie of the biker community rallying for a great cause.
How do I log my miles?
After logging in, go to your dashboard and click 'Log Miles'. Enter the date, miles ridden, and an optional route description.
Can I ride in groups?
Absolutely! Riding with friends and club members is encouraged. Just log your own individual miles in your dashboard.
Is the registration fee tax-deductible?
The registration fee minus any benefits received may be deductible. Please consult your tax advisor. Donations are fully tax-deductible.
What happens after I register?
You'll receive a confirmation, your profile will go live, and you can start logging miles once your payment is confirmed.
Can people donate to my ride without registering?
Yes! Each rider has a public profile page with a donation form. Share your profile link with friends and family.
What does Access Life America do with the funds?
100% of funds raised go to ALA's programs supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families in India — covering meals, shelter, counseling, and education.
